ABOUT ANSEONG CITY
 
AnSeong is a city in GyeongGi Province, South Korea, about 50 miles south of Seoul. AnSeong promotes itself as "The City of Masters." It is known for producing brassware, arts, and crafts. From late spring to fall, AnSeong holds its own NamSaDang NeuRi Festival. The agriculture of AnSeong consists of Asian pears, grapes, ginseng and rice. In 1963, GoSam town of YongIn was incorporated by AnSeong, which was county at that time. In 1998, AnSeong, formerly county, became AnSeong city.

Brea Korea Sister City Association is a non-profit service organization established by the Brea City Council Resolution adopted in July 2010, to carry out the City Council vision to promote cultural interchange, educational enrichment, and economic cooperation between the City of Brea and the City of AnSeong, Korea.

In keeping with the City Council direction, the primary mission of the Brea Korea Sister City Association is to promote curiosity, understanding and harmony among diverse cultures in Brea by fostering sister city relationship between the City of Brea and the City of AnSeong, Korea.

Brea Korea Sister City Association actively promotes its primary mission by conducting Korean language and cultural classes, putting on elaborate cultural performances, encouraging student participation in all its events, and introducing Korean foods, costumes, and folklores in the City of Brea.
